The leadership of Action Alliance has refuted an earlier report that it had endorsed the Gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, in the Forthcoming Governorship election scheduled to hold next Saturday 11th of March across Ogun state.
In a statement made public, the Party stated that it had not endorsed any other Political party in the Governorship and State House of Assembly election in Ogun State, as its Gubernatorial candidate Dr. Samuel Olufemi Adeyemi remains the authentic candidate for the election who is poised to win.
The Statement reads in part:
The leadership of Action Alliance hereby refute the ongoing propaganda that the party has endorsed the PDP Governorship candidate. This is absolute falsehood. Dr. Samuel Olufemi Adeyemi remains the candidate of Action Alliance to be voted in as the next Governor of Ogun State on Saturday March 11 2023.
Recall a report had emerged earlier where it was widely reported that the PDP is joining forces with Accord Party (AP), Allied People’s Movement (APM), Because Of Our Tomorrow (BOOT party), Action Alliance (AA), Action Democratic Party (ADP), All Peoples Party (APP), African Action Congress (AAC), Young Progressive Progressive Party (YPP) and the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
It was also reported that The PDP governorship candidate, Ladi Adebutu, made this known while addressing members of the nine political parties in Abeokuta, saying the move became necessary following the outcome of the presidential and National Assembly elections held last Saturday.
