The Association of License Customs Agent but(ALCA) says it’s  has retrieved over 23 seized licenses from the Nigerian Customs Service for its members.

The association said more effort is being put to retrieve another 30  customs licenses.
While speaking with Maritime reporters in Lagos, Secretary General of ANLCA, Alhaji Abdulazeez Babatunde Mukaila said that despite the COVID-19 pandemic the leadership of the association has continued to assist members to recover their license from Nigerian Customs Service on daily basis.
He said
“We have equally helped some of our willing members who are tired to be on the fringe line .They have the experience but they don’t have the license but those people are now encouraged.
“We were able to recover 23 licenses this year despite COVID19, ranging from Abuja to Post Clearance Audit (PCA) and we assured our members that once you are in right path of compliance you can count on us. Because we don’t want a situation whereby government agencies would want to muscle you up when you are doing your legitimate job.
The  customs brokers group had in 2019 recorded success in ensuring that about 300 clearing licenses impounded by the service were released by the interventions of its President, Tony Iju Nwabunike led leadership.
