BAUCHI CIVIL SERVICE SETS UP MACHINERY TO ADDRESS GHOST WORKERS, OTHER RELATED SYNDROMES.

In a bid to address the lingering salaries and other mismanagement of government resources in the various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies, MDAs in the state, Bauchi government has organised a two-day training on salary administration.
Since its inception, the Bala Mohammed-led administration has been battling with ghost workers and other related issues that necessitated the organizing of various fora, aimed at having clear data of the entire civil servants of the state.
Bauchi state head of civil service, Yahuza Adamu and the state’s Accountant General, Saidu Abubakar say, the training seeks to equip the newly appointed government executives with clear knowledge and understanding of how to assist in sanitizing both the nominal and payroll systems in their respective MDAs.
Bauchi governor, represented by his deputy, Auwal Jatau noted that people are retiring day by day, but the payroll keeps increasing.
He however expressed optimism that with this training, the lingering salary and other allowance issues would be a thing of the past, and pave the way for employing teaming new graduates to fill in the existing vacancies.
