BAUCHI GETS NEW POLICE COMMISSIONER, VOWS TO FIGHT UNETHICAL BEHAVIOURS

A new Police Commissioner, Umar Mamman Sanda has taken over from Abiodun Alabi in the Bauchi Command, Alabi now belongs to the Force Criminal Intelligence Department, Abuja.

In a press statement issued by the command’s spokesman, Ahmed wakil, the new Bauchi Police Commissioner, Umar Sanda, vowed to restructure policing, that will be driven by professional knowledge, and guided by intelligence, at strategic operational and tactical levels, conducted within the contexts of public ownership, with partnership participation, on problem-solving and community support, geared towards the general security of the state.

The commissioner vowed to change the mindset of police on indiscipline, corruption, unprofessional or unethical behaviours of his men, as any officer found wanting, will be held accountable for their actions, in the course of their duties.

CP Umar Sanda is a specialist in policing, investigation of economic and financial crime-related offences, who have served in different capacities.
