BAYELSA POLICE NABS SUSPECTED RITUALIST ‘IN THE ACT’

The Police in Bayelsa state have arrested a suspected ritualist, Sunday Favour Ojo who was on the verge of slitting the throat of a female undergraduate of the Niger Delta University, Deborah Emafridom.

The murder attempt was foiled by the police in collaboration with vigilante members at Ogobiri Community in Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State who acted on a tip off from a suspicious resident.

Deborah Emafridom was reportedly lured by the suspected ritualist to a bush close to the Niger Delta University Campus, where he tied her hands.

Bayelsa Police Spokesman Asinim Buswat in a statement said further investigation is ongoing on the matter and the suspect will soon be charged to court.
