BENUE STATE GOVERNMENT SAYS COVID-19 VACCINE IS OPTIONAL

Written by on March 17, 2021

The Benue State Government has said that the Covid-19 vaccine, is not mandatory for its residents who have personal rights to decide whether or not to take it.

Since it took delivery of the 50,000 doses of the astrazeneca exactly a week ago, no public administration of the vaccine has been made on any Government official.

The Chairman covid-19 committee, Benson Abounu, who is also the Deputy Governor, argues that since no one can be held liable if anything goes wrong,
it is safer for the people including government officials to take that very critical decision.
