BRAZIL WOMEN AND MEN FOOTBALL TEAMS TO GET EQUALLY PAY

Written by on September 4, 2020

Brazil’s football association (CBF) has announced it will pay the women’s and men’s football teams equally. It means all players will be granted the same daily and prize amounts for taking part in preparation periods and games.
CBF President, Rogerio Caboclo said the measures were put in place in March. According to him,
“What men will receive at the next World Cup will be proportionally equal to what is proposed by FIFA. There is no more gender difference, as the CBF is treating men and women equally,”
Caboclo said it also applies to performances at international tournaments such as the World Cup and Olympics.
Australia, Norway and New Zealand are among the nations to previously decide to pay their men and women internationals the same amount.
