The 300 level Mass Communication student of the University of Lagos, Chidinma Adora Ojukwu and Adedapo Quadri were this Monday, remanded in prison custody by a Yaba Chief Magistrates’ Court over the alleged murder of Chief Executive Officer of Super TV, Usifo Ataga.

Magistrate Mrs Adeola Adedayo remanded her for 30 days in the first instant, pending the legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecution, DPP.

Granting the prosecution’s prayer, Mrs Adedayo said: “In the absence of any opposition, the two defendants are hereby remanded for 30 days in the first instance.

“The case is hereby adjourned till September 5, for review of remand/DPP’s advice.”

She had been in a romantic relationship with 50-year-old Ataga for about four months before the incident.

Ojukwu, 21, was earlier seen in a video that went viral on social claiming she was responsible for the murder of Ataga in a service apartment in Lekki area of Lagos State, although she has since recanted that claim.
