Breaking: Presidential Election Petition Court Refuses Request for Live Broadcast

The court held that live broadcast or streaming of proceedings is not provided for in the rules, policy and procedure of the court.
Ruling on the application made by the People’s Democratic Party, PDP and its candidate, Atiku Abubakar, the court noted that no such policy is in place as yet, and as such it cannot adopt a procedure not provided by the administrative process of the court.
Justice Haruna Tsamani who prepared the lead ruling held creating such policy will affect the dignity of the proceedings.
The four other members unanimously agreed with the ruling.
