Las Vegas Police has confirmed Duane Keith Davis, aka “Keffe D,” was arrested Friday for the 1996 murder of Music star and rapper Tupac Shakur.
A grand jury indicted Davis on charges of murder with use of a deadly weapon in connection with the murder, Las Vegas authorities announced.
He will appear in court in the next few days to determine his custody status and set a trial date.
Davis’ home in Henderson, Las Vegas, Nevada, was searched in July as part of the Las Vegas Metro Police Department’s ongoing investigation into the 1996 shooting.
Police believe that the man arrested in connection to the murder of Tupac Shakur, orchestrated a plan to commit the crime with several other people.
Although it’s not yet clear if Duane Davis pulled the shot that killed Tupac, under Nevada laws, an accomplice is as guilty as the person who commits the actual crime – Under state’s aiding and abetting statute.
