President Muhammadu Buhari has written to the House of Representatives seeking approval to borrow $4 billion and €710 million from bilateral and multilateral organisations to fund critical projects in the country.
President Buhari also asked the lawmakers to approve grant components of $125 million saying the loan request is in an addendum to the 2018-2021 borrowing plan.
The President also transmitted the Small and Light Weapons Bill and Explosive Bill 2021 for consideration by the House.
Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamiala, read all three letters at the resumption of plenary proceedings on Wednesday.
