Tension mounted again in the Ondo state house of assembly this Friday as armed security men laid siege on the Assembly Complex at Alagbaka Akure.
The action of the policemen and others according to reports may not be unconnected with plans by outgoing members of the assembly to impeach the sitting Speaker, Bamidele Oleyelogun.
Meanwhile the speaker of the state house of assembly, Bamidele Oloyelogun has dismissed media reports of his alleged resignation.
Oloyelogun while addressing Journalists said the purported resignation letter which is in circulation is the handiwork of fifth columnists who are bent on throwing the State into anarchy,
The outgoing speaker urged security agencies to investigate the author of such letter and bring the perpetrators to book.
Oleyelogun is the longest serving speaker of the Ondo State House of assembly from 2016 to 2023.
