CROSS RIVERS: WOMAN DIES CHASING HUSBAND OVER INFIDELITY.

The Cross River State Police Command and the Federal Road Safety Corps FRSC have confirmed the death of a woman in a road accident while chasing her husband over a side chick she saw with him at a shopping mall in Calabar

The accident which occurred along the Muritala Muhammed Highway, opposite the New Secretariat, witnessed the gathering of people along the road when the accident happened Sunday evening.

Cross River State Police Public Relations Officer, Irene Ugbo and the state Sector Commander of FRSC, Maikano Abdulahi Hassan who confirmed her death said it was caused by overspeeding.

The accident which involved a Toyota Highlander claimed the life of the lone female driver who veered off the road into a ditch while pursuing her husband who was with his mistress, an eyewitness recounted.

The deceased was said to have sighted her husband leaving a shopping Mall in the company of another female occupant suspected to be his girlfriend.

She tried to block her husband’s car at the mall but he escaped the attempt and she chased him with the Toyota Highlander she was driving before she met her untimely death, said another witness.

The police said she was rushed to the hospital but died before she got there due to severe injuries she sustained as a result of the accident.
