DELTA POLICE CONFIRM ATTACK BY GUNMEN ON ITS PATROL TEAM, SETTING ABLAZE OF CUSTOM VEHICLE.

The Delta State Police Command has confirmed the attack on a Police patrol team by unknown gunmen at Issele-Azagba in the Aniocha-North Local Government Area of Delta State.
The Command spokesperson, Bright Edafe who made the disclosure in a phone call to our reporter said the unknown gunmen attacked the patrol team at 8 pm Wednesday, along the highway axis of Issele-Azagba, and shot heavily at them but no casualty was recorded.
DSP Bright Edafe while describing some social media reports of Police officers killed in the attack as falsehood, confirmed that the unknown gunmen set ablaze a patrol vehicle belonging to the Nigerian Customs Service.
The motive behind the Wednesday night attack is yet to be ascertained.
In the meantime, normalcy has returned to the Issele-Azagba axis of the Aniocha-North Council Area of Delta State.
