Edo governor/deputy face-off; Obaseki locks Shaibu out of government house.

Edo state deputy governor, Philip Shaibu was this Monday locked out of his office at the state government house, Osadebe avenue by the state governor, Godwin Obaseki.

According to the Media aide to Shaibu, Musa Ebomhiana, the deputy governor got to his office at the Government House this morning only to realise the gate to his office and the main entrance leading to the building were locked with chains and heavy padlocks.

According to the story emanating from the deputy governor’s office, Shaibu and his aides waited for about an hour before leaving.

He was said to have made frantic calls trying to reach the Governor to no avail.

According to the deputy governor’s spokesman, his principal had some discussions with the state Commissioner of Police and the State Director of State Security Services, DSS alerting them of how he was locked out of his office.
