Edo health ministry close down laboratories, others

Edo State ministry of Health directorate of regulation and monitoring with other government regulatory agencies have sealed up two medical laboratories and one maternity clinic for failing to meet adequate regulatory standards.
The affected health facilities and others were sealed after several warnings from the ministry of health.
The state government says the seal up is necessary to prevent quacks from infiltrating the medical and health profession and save lives.
While stressing the commitment of the state government to sustain the fight against quackery and unprofessional conduct in the system, the health ministry advises owners and operators of health facilities to carry out their operations with the safety of Edo citizens at heart.
