The Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has called on Nigerians to work together in unison, irrespective of their ethno-religious inclinations to ensure the country’s progress.
Governor Obaseki, in a statement to mark the Eid-El-Kabir festivities, urged the Muslim faithful to imbibe the lesson of sacrifice, which is the hallmark of the season.
He charged Nigerians to deepen their relationship with God and enhance their services to humanity as they reflect on the lessons of the celebration.
The Governor enjoined everyone to rededicate themselves to the Creator, working diligently to sustain the virtues of patience, tolerance and love.
On the other hand Nasarawa state governor,  Abdullahi Sule has urged residents in the state to renew friendship and co-existence, among one another in the state.
Governor Sule after the  Sallah prayers in Gudi, Akwanga LGA  to mark the celebration of Eid-El Kabir appealed to the citizens to use the celebration to remind themselves of the need to live in peace with one another as the Eid El-Kabir symbolizes a test of faith, brotherhood and adherence to Allah’s commands.
Sule urged Nigerian to pray for the new Administration of  President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in his commitment to turn around the fortunes of the nation.
He  appealed to  traditional rulers, community and religious leaders to sustain their sensitization and enlightenment for harmonious co-existence in the state beyond the period of celebration.
He further appeal to all security agencies, non-conventional security personnel to intensify enforcement of the laws during the festival  season.

Meanwhile, Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang, has congratulated the Muslim ummah on the occasion of the 2023 Eid-El Kabir celebration and urged them to imbibe the virtues of love, selflessness and sacrifice to mankind.

Governor Mutfwang, in a goodwill message to mark the Eid-El Kabir celebration, reassured the peace-loving people of Plateau State that his administration is for all.
In a statement signed by him his Press secretary Gyang Bere, the Governor encourage all citizens in the State to devote time to reflect on the values of love, charity and selflessness and work towards building a more united and peaceful Plateau State.
According to Mutfwang, the 2023 Eid-El-Kabir celebration is of particular great significance as it affords people the opportunity to invoke God’s blessings on leaders as they strive to provide qualitative leadership citizens desire.
The Governor who also reassured people of the State that the security challenges faced in recent time are being tackled said his government will remain committed to ensuring the security of life and property.
While rejoicing with the Muslim Ummah, Governor Mutfwang wished them a peaceful and a happy Eid-el Kabir celebration and further said the Time Is Now to resolve and work together to chart a new course and build the Plateau the people have always dreamt of.
