ENDSARS: ADAMAWA STATE JUDICIAL PANEL SUBMITS REPORT

The Adamawa State Judicial Commission of Inquiry into the alleged brutality of the disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, has submitted its report to the state government.
The thirteen-man panel was inaugurated in October 2020.
The Chairman of the panel, Justice Adamu Hobon, revealed that thirteen memoranda were submitted to the panel and the memoranda ranged from the loss of lives and properties to mental trauma among others.
The submissions were categorized into three volumes, consisting of recommendations, submissions and exhibits.
Governor Ahmadu Fintiri promised to ensure full implementation of the recommendations on police brutality and extrajudicial killings in the state Which he believed were treated based on merit by the panel
On why the panel received only thirteen memoranda, the chairman said, the commission witnessed low response during the public hearings but experienced rush-hour submissions towards the end.
