Factional leader of the rivers state assembly asks igp to investigate alleged arson on the house building.

The faction of the Rivers State House of Assembly led by Right honourable Martin’s Amaewhule has passed a resolution calling on the inspector general of police to investigate and bring to book all those involved in the burning of the hallow chamber of the Rivers state house of assembly complex.
The Rivers State house of assembly fund management and financial autonomy bill also scaled first reading during Tuesday’s plenary.
Its is the eighty second legislative day of the Rivers State house of assembly assembly led by Martin’s Amaewhule which has been factionalised following the political logjam that greeted the state between October 30th and November 1st.
it is also the second time the Martin’s Amaewhule led faction of the assembly would sit for plenary inside one of the halls within the assembly complex.
This time it is to raise a prayer calling for a thorough investigation and arrest of those involved in the burning of the hallow chamber,a motion that was raised by Oforji Igwe and seconded by Deputy speaker Mao Dumle, following a condemnation of the burning of the hallow chamber of the assembly complex.
The assembly fund management and financial autonomy bill from the consolidated Rivers fund,raised by Lawmaker representing Asari Toru Constituency two,Enemi Alabo-George,also scaled first reading.
Martins Amaewhule,speaker of one of the faction,said the bill when passed into law ,will further help government to bring the dividends of democracy to the people.
25 out of the 32 house of assembly members participated in the Tuesday’s plenary.
