FCT teachers begin indefinite strike, seek Wike’s intervention.

Primary school teachers in the federal capital territory have started an indefinite strike over unpaid arrears, disparity in salary and allowance payment.

The teachers are appealing to the Minister of the federal capital territory, Nyesom Wike not to join his predecessor who abandoned the plight of primary education tutors.

Ruth Eloja is 7-year-old primary three pupil and government community school Asokoro in Abuja.

Little Ruth and her 4-year-old baby sister Esther are exited being back in school after the long holiday, but at the same time unhappy as their teachers kicked them and others out of class to begin an indefinite strike.

We met some of Ruth and Esther’s Teachers also briskly leaving the school environment.

The teachers listed other demands while asking the FCT Minister to turn his searchlight on the rot in the primary education sub sector.
