Federal High Court to embark on 2023 vacation in July

The Federal High Court of Nigeria has fixed July 24 for the judiciary to begin its 2023 annual vacation in line with the provisions of Order 46, Rule 4 of the Court’s Civil Procedure Rules 2019.
The Chief Judge of the Court, Justice John Tsoho in a statement this Friday said the resumption is set for Friday September, 15, 2023 while the Court will resume sitting on Monday, September, 18, 2023.
The statement which was signed by the Assistant Director of Information of the Court, Catherine Christopher, mentioned that the vacation was approved by the Chief Judge in order for Judges of the court to rest and prepare for the challenges of the New Legal year.
The statement also hinted that, during the vacation, litigants would be at liberty to approach vacation Judges in their areas of jurisdiction in Abuja, Lagos and Port-Harcourt for their respective matters.
The Vacation Judges for Abuja are Justices Ahmed Mohammed and Obiora Egwuatu while Justices I. N. Oweibo and Justice A. Akiko will be on stand in Lagos and Port-Harcourt will have Justices A. T. Mohammed and Justice S.I. Mark.
