FG AND FAO PARTNER TO PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE FOOD SYSTEM.

The Federal Government in partnership with the Food and Agriculture Organization, FAO is working out modalities on promoting integrated landscape management and sustainable food systems with focus on Ondo and Cross River States.
This is part of efforts to promote sustainable Cocoa and Oil Palm production systems in the two states.
FAO Country Representative, Fred Kafeero said the aim of the programme, the Global Partnership on Forest and Landscape Restoration is to consider the inherent potentials of the Nigerian rain forest and the country’s need for cultivation of diverse agricultural commodities, like oil palm, cocoa and cassava in a sustainable manner.
