Fg calls for ceasefire in the war between Israel and Palestine.

The Federal Government of Nigeria has called for a de-escalation of the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine which began early Saturday when Hamas invaded Israeli territory.
This was disclosed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf M Tuger in a press statement released in Abuja yesterday
According to the statement, the Federal expresses ‘deep concern’ over the outbreak of hostilities between Israel and Hamas in the early hours of Saturday 7th October, 2023. And therefore calls for a ceasefire.
Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu declared on Saturday that Israel is now at war, and called on it’s citizens around the Gaza Strip to flee.
Hamas had infiltrated into Israeli territory and fired rockets, they have also captured an undisclosed numbers of civilians in the process, an act several countries have condemned.
