Four persons suffer injuries in Lagos gas exploision

Four people, three females and one male have been injured as gas exploded in Lagos in the early hours of today.

Apart from the four persons who sustained various degrees of injuries, no life was lost.

The incident happened at Ijaiye beside the Apostolic Church, Agege.

In a preliminary report by the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), it was discovered that one of the gas cylinders stored in a shop exploded as a result of leakage and caught fire in the process.

The injured victims after being attended to by the Agency’s pre-hospital care, alongside LASAMBUS, have been moved to Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH).

Meanwhile, the inferno has been completely put out by the combined efforts of LASEMA LRT, Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service with a post-incident assessment conducted by the Agency’s LRT alongside LASG Fire.
