Frsc denies reports of it’s desire to bear arms.

The Federal Road Safety Corps FRSC has denied reports which suggests that it’s Corps Marshall, Dauda Biu is seeking the approval of the Federal Government to enable it’s officials bc ear arms.
This was disclosed by Bisi Kazeem, The Corps Public Education Officer of the FRSC in a statement made public on its X formally (Twitter) handle on Sunday.
The statement reads:
The attention of the FRSC has just been drawn to a report that the Corps Marshal is seeking the permission of the Federal Government for the personnel of the Corps to bear arms.
The said erroneous statement credited to the representative of the Corps Marshal at the Passing Out Parade of Cadets at the Nigerian Army Training Centre (NATRAC), Kotangora, Niger State , does not reflect the current position of the Corps Marshal and the management team.
The statement concludes by advising members of the public to take note.
Recall there has been an earlier reports on social media, suggesting that the Corps Marshall of the FRSC, has sought the permission of the Federal Government for it’s officers to bear arms in the spate of rising insecurity in the country
