GERNOT ROHR BACKS OSIMHEN TO FLY HIGH IN NAPOLI

Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr has backed Victor Osimhen to make a big impact at Serie A club Napoli. Osimhen moved to Napoli from Ligue 1 club, Lille in July.
The 21-year-old has already hit the ground running in his new environment with six goals and one assist in two pre-season games. Rohr believes the young striker has what it takes to be a success at Napoli.
The Franco-German has also dismissed comparisons between Victor Osimhen and Didier Drogba, insisting that the Napoli record signing is not on the same level as the Chelsea legend.
The statistics would back Rohr’s claim as Osimhen managed only one headed goal over the course of last season and that was against Chelsea in the Champions League even though he possesses the scoring ability of Drogba. The Cote D’Ivoire hero was known for his aerial prowess during his time with Chelsea with at least 34 headed goals and was also a deadly free-kick taker, another attribute missing from Osimhen’s game so far.
