GRAZING RESERVES: ORTOM THREATENS LEGAL ACTION AGAINST FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, has said that any attempt to subvert his right as a governor, through the creation of nonexistent cattle routes would be resisted with legal action.
Ortom said this in Makurdi the state capital, He also vowed to approach the court of law to stop any violation of the Land Use Act, should the Federal Government insist on creating grazing routes and grazing areas in the state.
Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom disclosed his next line of action, should the Federal Government insist on creating grazing reserves.
Ortom was particularly concerned about the food insecurity crisis occasioned by the degenerating insecurity, which could be further compounded by the anti-agricultural policy.
He equally spoke on the failure of the APC-led government at the centre, which he said, has provided an opportunity for the PDP as an alternative, come 2023.
On the issue of privatisation of government enterprises in the state, the chief executive said, any advertised one that is functional and is against the wishes of Benue people would be considered.
