GUNMEN ATTACK DIVISIONAL POLICE STATION IN AKURE, KILL ONE OFFICER.

Gunmen attacked the Okuta Elerinla Divisional Police Station in Akure, the Ondo State capital in the early hours of Monday. The reason for the attack was not yet certain at the time of filing this.
Spokesperson of the State Police Command, Funmilayo Odunlami who confirmed the incident said a police officer was shot dead during a heavy shooting that occurred at about 1:00 am on Monday.
The Police PRO said an investigation has commenced into the attack while encouraging people of the State to go about their lawful duties without fear.
