IGP’S WIFE, PROMISES TO SUPPORT FAMILIES OF POLICE PERSONNEL IN EDO STATE

The Wife of the Inspector general of police, IGP, and President Police officers Wives Association, POWA, Hajara Usman, has promised to support police officers’ wives and their children to boost the morale of police personnel in their efforts to secure the country.

The IGP’s wife made the promise during her familiarisation visit to the headquarters of the Edo State Police Command.

The IGP’s wife who led other officers’ wives to the office of the Edo State Commissioner of Police, Phillip Ogbadu, said the visit became necessary to rebuild relationships and boost the morale of police officers’ wives.

She noted that with the difficulties that come with national service regarding the work of the Nigeria Police Force, there was a need to support officers’ wives to give their spouses the right frame of mind to serve the Nation better.

She explained her three-point POWA vision which dwells on education, welfare, and healthcare delivery.

The IGP’s wife and her entourage who were also at the mobile police squadron five base of the Nigeria police force, Ogida, inspected some facilities including the mobile police primary school where she interacted with the pupils encouraging them to aim higher in their educational pursuits.

The visit of the IGP’s wife to Edo state was in continuation of her tour of states across Nigeria.
