The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has warned residents of Ondo state coming out to vote on the day of election that they will not be allowed to vote unless they use their face masks.
This requirement is part of measures to avoid the spread of Covid 19 disease during and after the October 10 governorship election in the state.
INEC National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter education committee, Festus Okoye let this out yesterday at an online workshop organized for journalists in Akure.
Okoye said the electoral body is working with presidential task force on Covid19 to make available infrared thermometers in all polling units during the elections.
He however restated that the use of branded nose masks would not be allowed during the election.
