KOGI STATE GOVT. AND NMMA ADMINISTRATORS SIGN HOSTING RIGHT OF 29TH AWARD CEREMONY

Kogi State Government has signed the Memorandum of Understanding with the Administrators of Nigeria Media Merit Award, NMMA, to host the 29th Edition of the event in Lokoja, Kogi State with the theme: Engaging with Kogi State for a Better Tomorrow.
The event which will hold from 28th – 31st October will have all the Media Houses in Nigeria and Africa contesting for some prestigious awards.
The Excellent security situation of the confluence state, its serenity, tourism potentials as well as the presence of the Ajokuta Steel Company and the Dangote cement factory, are common features that Kogi State would be showcasing to attract investors who will attend the Nigeria Media Merit Award come October 2021.
Leveraging on the over one million participants that will attend the event, Team leader of the Nigeria Media Merit Award, Yemi Akejie says the current economic potentials of the state would be better off after the programme, sitting the Ajaokuta and Dangote Cement factory are good signatures for the state.
Secretary to Kogi State Government, Ayoade Folashade Arike who performed the signing rites on behalf of the state government, used the event to speak on some core values of unity, peace and religious tolerance which she noted has made the state a destination for all.
Ayoade noted that Kogi State where Nigeria evolved from has several potentials both human and natural that would drive the economic fortune of Nigeria, with optimism that the state would produce a detribalized leader that will solve Nigeria’s challenges of insecurity, disunity, and other forms of practices that creates social distinctions.
She noted that the Nigeria Media Merit Award to be hosted in Kogi state by October would open a new vista of business, economic, social, and political opportunities in the state with greater multiplier effects on citizens of the state.
Ronke Bello, Strategist on Investment Policy and Communication to Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, told journalists at the event that the programme will attract about a million participants, business and media entrepreneurs from Nigeria and beyond with great business opportunities within the four-day event
With the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, planning for the all-important event has been fully activated, as the committee took time to visits some of the facilities that would be put to use during the event.
