Lagos police foil robbery attempt

The Lagos State Police command, in the early hours of Sunday, foiled an attempt by a burglar to break into a bank in Maple Estate around Oko-oba area of the state.
According to the public relations officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, they received a distress call at about 4:20am notifying them of an ongoing robbery incident.
The suspect who had destroyed some of the bank doors, was trying to make his way in when officers of the command arrived at the scene.
Hundeyin who disclosed that the suspect, one Azeez Isah, has since been arrested and investigation ongoing, added that no weapon was found on the suspect except a housebreaking equipment.
