The Lagos State Commissioner for Health Prof Akin Abayomi has recovered from the corona virus infection.
The state Commissioner for Information and Strategy Gbenga Omotosho made this known in a statement today the 31st day of august 2020, and added that he will be returning to his full duties gradually.
Omotosho said Abayomi is very grateful and humbled by the deep concern shown and expressed by Executive Council Members, Lagosians and well meaning Nigerians through prayers, messages, phone calls and gifts..
The Commissioner had embarked on a mandatory isolation after testing positive for the virus, but his last test returned negative yesterday evening.
Meanwhile Nigeria has recorded its lowest daily infection in four months with 138 new cases, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 53865 and a total of 1013 deaths.
