Enugu state governor, Peter Mbah, says his triumph at the Court of Appeal this Friday has further reaffirmed his trust and belief in the nation’s judiciary as the last hope for the common man.
Speaking at the Government House in Enugu, Mbah emphasized that the victory was not just personal but a win for democracy’s advancement and its benefits to the people.
He pledged to channel increased energy and commitment to build on the gains made by his administration in the last few months, thereby ensuring a positive impact on Enugu State.
Governor Mbah extended gratitude to the people for enduring the period of litigations, in what he said was aimed at tarnishing the government’s image.
In its judgment, the Court of Appeal in Lagos dismissed the appeal by the Labour Party’s governorship candidate, Chijioke Edeoga, seeking to annul Governor Peter Mbah’s election, citing his failure to prove raised issues for the dismissal.
