The Federal High Court in Abuja has granted permission to a former Attorney General of the Federation, AGF, and Minister of Justice, Mohammed Adoke to travel abroad for medical treatment.
Ruling in an application filed by Adoke for the release of his travel document, the court ordered that his travelling documents deposited with the court as part of his bail conditions, be released to him to enable him to travel between October 11 and November 15 when he will return to Nigeria.
And such order must be communicated to the Nigeria Immigration Service.
However, an undertaking must be signed by Kanu Agabi who is the lead counsel to Adoke in the money laundering charges brought against him by the federal government before the passport will be released.
Justice Ekwo further ordered that Adoke upon his return to Nigeria should hand over the passport to the custody of the court.
The trial has been fixed for December 6 for continuation.
