Mohbad’s death: Police pledges diligent investigation.

The Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Idowu Owohunwa has been tasked to unravel the circumstances surrounding the death of Nigerian music artist, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, known as Mohbad, who died recently in Lagos.

Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, in a press statement, said the Police Force is committed to a comprehensive investigation into this matter.

Adejobi assured that updates will be provided as investigations unfold.

The statement encouraged family members or close associates with valuable information to approach the Lagos State Commissioner of Police to assist in this process.

It however requested individuals to refrain from making statements or engaging in activities that could jeopardize the ongoing investigation.

In June 2023, the multi-talented artist had petitioned the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) over threat to life, damage of property, assault occasioning harm, oppression and conduct likely to cause breach of peace against SamLarry @Elegushi, Elele, Obele amongst others.

Till his death, the status of the petition is still pending.
