Nigerian refugees in Cameroon

About 887 Nigerian refugees from Cameroon yesterday arrived in Banki, Borno following a request from the Cameroonian government to Nigeria to facilitate their return.

External Relations Officer, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugee (UNHCR) Nigeria, Hanson Tamfu let this out today. Tamfu said the request was prompted by fear and suspicions of the Cameroonian authorities that among the refugee might include some elements of Boko Haram.

The returness arrived in 6 trucks sent by Nigerian authorities.
