NUJ DAAR MOURNS FIRST KAKAAKI PRESENTER, JIKA AND CURRENT PRESENTER, PERRY

The Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ DAAR Chairman, Patrick Abulu, on behalf of the executives and entire members has received with shock the death of a former staff of DAAR communications, Jika Attoh, which occurred on Wednesday, October 25, 2023.
The NUJ DAAR chairman in a statement condoles with the family of late Jika Attoh, the Board and Management of DAAR Communications Plc.
Jika Attoh, who died in Enugu, was the first co-presenter of Kakaaki, when the programme was renamed in late 90s.
He was a mentor, broadcast journalism teacher and a unique M.C to say the least.
The NUJ DAAR also used the statement to mourn the sudden and unfortunate death of a vibrant, young, energetic and broadcast journalist and presenter on Kakaaki, Perry Tukuwei, who died in an ill-fated boat mishap in Yenagoa on Wednesday, October 25.
The union condoles with Tukuwei’s young family, the Kakaaki production crew, the newsroom management, DAAR management and board.
