Journalists in Bayelsa State have expressed shock over the kidnap of the Yenagoa correspondent of the Guardian Newspaper, Julius Osahon, and others by bandits around the Patani axis of the East-West Road in Delta State.

Reacting to the development, Chairman of the Bayelsa State Council of the Nigerian Union Of Journalists, Samuel Numo-Nengi appealed to his abductors to release him unconditionally, noting that the family of the kidnapped journalist and the NUJ do not have the five million Naira being requested as ransom.

Also, Zonal Secretary NUJ, South-South, John Angese while decrying the high level of insecurity nationwide called on security operatives not to rest until he and others abducted are released.

Julius Osahon was kidnapped along with other passengers on a bus in Delta State, while on his way to board a train to Abuja.
