National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) has put its members on red alert over attack on NLC members during their peaceful protests in Kaduna state.
In a press statement signed by NUPENG’s President, Williams Akporegha and General Secretary Afolabi Olawale, the union asked the Federal Government to immediately call Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai to order.
NUPENG said it is deeply saddened by the violence unleashed on the peaceful protesters by the dictatorial regime of Governor Nasir El-Rufai.
The union warned that it will not hesitate to call for a total shut down of the nation’s oil industry if any worker is harmed, harassed, humiliated or victimized during the 5-day peaceful protests.
