OBASA EMERGES SPEAKER LAGOS HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY FOR THE 3RD CONSECUTIVE TIME.

The lawmaker representing Agege 01 constituency, Dr Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, has been elected as the Speaker of the 10th Lagos State House of Assembly.

The six-term lawmaker will be presiding over the assembly for the third consecutive term as he was first elected speaker in 2015. His emergence followed a nomination and general acceptance by the lawmakers-elect.

The elections of the principal officers of the house, followed the proclamation of the 10th Assembly by Governor Sanwo-Olu. Obasa was  thereafter nominated by the lawmaker representing Ifako Ijaiye 01, Hon Adewale Temitope Adedeji  and was seconded by the lawmaker representing Epe II, Ogunkelu Sylvester Oluwadahunsi before his unanimous election.

Monisola Lasbat, memeber representing Apapa I, the  Chief Whip of the Ninth Assembly, was also elected Deputy Speaker of the 10th Assembly after her nomination and general acceptance by the House.
