OGUN STATE RECORDS 57 DEATHS DUE TO COVID-19 COMPLICATIONS SINCE FEBRUARY 2020.

No fewer than 57 persons have died of complications from COVID-19 in Ogun State.

12 new cases of the virus were recorded in the State on Sunday, even as government makes efforts to flatten the curve of the pandemic.

Commissioner for Health, Dr Tomi Coker, yesterday said a total of 4,793 COVID-19 cases were recorded in Ogun since February 2020.

Of the 4,793 cases, Coker disclosed that 4,668 have been discharged, with 57 deaths were recorded.

While calling on Ogun residents to adhere strictly to non-pharmaceutical measures, Comer mentioned that the reality of the Third Wave of the pandemic had dawned on the entire globe, including Nigeria.
