Commercial activities around the popular Computer Village in Ikeja business district and its environs in Lagos were halted temporarily following a gas leak on Wednesday, which put many in panic, and resulted in the people scampering to safety.
Areas around Anifowoshe street, Oba Akran, and other adjoining streets were also not left out in panic mode as many feared for the worse.
Firefighters were, however, on the ground to restore normalcy.
This incident is happening just days after a 21-storey building collapsed in the Ikoyi area of the state with many feared dead and plenty others injured from the collapse, although rescue operation is still ongoing.
