A 36-year-old pastor, Raymond Ayodele is facing trial in Lagos for allegedly obtaining N3 million from a school teacher.
Ayodele was dragged to Tinubu Magistrate’s Court on Lagos island by the police and slammed with two counts of making false pretense and obtaining money through theft.
The police said the accused promised to invest the money in a lucrative business and share the profit with the teacher but disappeared after the money was transferred to his account.
Following a petition from the applicant, a police team tracked the suspect to a Lagos hideout and arrested him.
Pastor Ayodele who claims to be the managing director of ERIIFEi Divine Global Enterprise was eventually granted bail to the tune of N750,000 and two sureties in like sum.
