PLATEAU STATE: JUSUN BEGINS INDEFINITE STRIKE ACTION

Judicial activities were on Monday Paralysed across the Seventeen Local Government Areas of Plateau State following a fresh indefinite strike action embarked upon by the Judiciary Staff Union of the State.
Addressing Journalists after barricading the gate of the State High Court, chairman of the Union Philip Longji, there has never been Autonomy for Judiciary on the Plateau since the Pronouncement.
The Plateau State High Court barricaded, Activities Grounded, lawyers denied access to court Premises as the Union members chant a song of solidarity to commence indefinite strike action.
According to the state Chairman of the Union Philip Longji, the Judiciary on Plateau has not been Autonomous since Autonomy was granted to judicial workers in Nigeria.
He added, that efforts by the union to resolve the matter proves unsuccessfully which formed the basis for the strike.
The legal adviser of the Union who also spoke said the issue has to do with the Management of the Judiciary in the state and not the state Government.
It is not yet known whether the Management of the Judiciary in the State will respond to their demands, but one thing is certain, the strike action will Paralyse Judicial activities across the Seventeen Local Government Areas of the state.
