Police confirms arrest of owner of dogs that killed 5-month-old baby in Osun state.

The Osun state command of the Nigeria police force has confirmed the arrest of the owner of dogs who attacked a nursing mother, one Nafisat Muideen, and killing her five months old baby in the process.
The incident which occurred in Osogbo, the Osun state capital has thrown residents of the community into mourning, with the mother of the late baby calling for justice.
Narrating her sad experience, Nafisat Muideen, mother of the five-month-old baby killed by the dogs said she was on her way to get drugs for herself and the ailing child at a pharmacy store close to her residence in Halleluyah Estate Osogbo when two foreign dogs attacked her from behind, seized and killed her 5-month-old baby.
She said she was also attacked and injured by the dogs while trying to rescue the baby from the dogs before neighbors later surfaced.
In her reaction, the state police Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the incident, adding that the owner of the dogs has been arrested.
The police public relations officer also disclosed that the owner of the dogs would be prosecuted once investigations are completed.
