President Mohammadu Buhari has inaugurated sixty-eight flat residential quarters and administrative blocks for the Nigeria Police Special Protection Unit at omagwa in Port Harcourt.
The building was initiated and constructed by the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC.
The sixty-eight flat residential quarters and administrative block for the Police Special Protection Unit base 6 were constructed by the NDDC.
Inaugurating the police building, President Buhari who was represented by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, said the structure is part of the Federal Government’s determination to improve the working conditions of security officers
The Rivers Governor Nyesom Wike commended the NDDC management for pursuing the completion of the structure after years of abandonment
The Inspector-General of Police Usman Akali assured the federal government and the NDDC of effective utilization and maintenance of the project.
