SALIHU MAGASHI: MINISTRY OF DEFENCE REACTS TO TRENDING VIDEO

The Ministry of Defence has reacted to a trending Video portraying the Minister of Defence Maj. Gen. Bashir Magashi carrying an AK47 rifle.
A statement by the Special Assistant to the Minister on Media and Publicity, Muhammad Abbdulkadir says, the video is misleading as findings reveal the person in the video, is the Rector of the Nigerian Army College of Environmental Science and Technology Makurdi.
The statement noted that, by virtue of the Rector’s Command position, he has permission in the Military to carry weapons when travelling.
The statement enjoined the public to disregard the false information being spread by mischief-makers.
