SENATE PRESIDENT APPLAUDS DISBANDMENT OF SARS

Senate President, Ahmad Lawan has applauded President Muhammadu Buhari for listening to the voices of the Nigerian people expressing dissatisfaction with the operations of the police special anti Robbery squad (SARS).
Lawan said with the courageous decision to dissolve the police unit, the president has shown that he is responsive to the feelings of the people, adding that it is a demonstration of good leadership.
The Senate President also commended the inspector-General of police for the decision and challenged him to come up with measures for the transformation of the Nigeria police into an effective law enforcement and crime fighting agency that is also a true and respected friend of the Nigerian people.
