South West Pensioners advice Obasanjo to seek royal father’s forgiveness, decries state govts attitude to gratuity payments.

Pensioners in the south west region of Nigeria have advised Former President Olusegun Obasanjo to seek the forgiveness of Royal fathers from the region, following recent public pronouncement by the former president ordering traditional rulers to stand up in a public gathering.

Public relations officer of the the Union in the southwest , Segun Abatan said the call has become necessary in the face of the huge embarrassment it caused the traditional rulers.

Retired pensioners decried the action of some of the state government in the region denying members the benefits from the palliative distribution.

The union during the quarterly briefing in the state capital ado ekiti, appealed to the state governments in the zone to priotise issues of gratuties, pension arrears amongst other benefits when initiatiating policies to alleviate the sufferings of members.
